Postecoglou is expected to oversee a mass clear-out at Tottenham this summer, given the bloated nature of the squad, with The Telegraph reporting last week that Perisic is one of many players that the club wish to move on.

The Croat has struggled defensively in his first season in the Premier League and does not appear to be a particularly good fit for Postecoglou’s system.

We previously relayed a report from Fanatik (June 6), which claimed that Besiktas had made an approach to sign the 34-year-old this summer.

The report asserted that the Turkish giants already ‘made a request’ in order to get information about the ‘cost of the operation’ and had also reached out to the player’s entourage to discuss a move.

Perisic has interest from Turkey and Saudi Arabia

Jacobs has now said during his appearance on the Last World On Spurs podcast that Perisic is not just attracting interest from Turkey but is also wanted by Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilal.

In addition, the journalist added that a return to Inter Milan could also be on the cards for the experienced wing-back this summer.
