Yıldırım Demirören, the chairman of Turkish conglomerate company Demirören Group, has dismissed rumors of an impending sale of the media group. He emphasized the company’s commitment to further growth and investment in Turkey. Demirören stated that the media brands they acquired in 2011 and 2018 have exceeded their initial expectations, attributing the success to the efforts of dedicated individuals across their television networks, newspapers, and other media outlets. Demirören expressed their determination to take these valuable brands to even greater heights and stated that they are solely focused on their business and not interested in gossip. The Demirören Group acquired Milliyet and Vatan newspapers in 2011, followed by the purchase of Hürriyet newspaper, Kanal D, and CNN Türk television channels in 2018, making it Turkey’s largest media group.
