When the anchovy hunt in the Black Sea decreased compared to the previous days, it doubled its price. When most of the boats could not sail due to the bad weather, they doubled their price and started to be sold for 50 TL.

Anchovy, which is sold for 25 TL per kilo in Trabzon, increased to 50 TL when the fishermen could not sail due to the storm in the region.
The fishermen, who stated that the demand for anchovy increased due to the cold weather, said that they sold the most expensive anchovy of the last months.
Noting that the price of anchovy they sell at the beginning of the season is almost the same as of today, the fishermen stated that among other fish species, the chinakop is at its peak.
Stating that the price of anchovies increases when they are scarce, one of the fishermen Kadir Pınar said, “When anchovies are scarce, they are expensive. Anchovy, which we sold for 35 TL yesterday, is 50 TL per kilo today,” he said.
On the other hand, stating that anchovy is the food of cold weather, Pınar said, “Last week, it started from 25 TL and went up to 55 TL, yesterday we sold it for 35 TL and today it is 50 TL.”
One of the fishermen Ahmet Çoğalmış, who stated that most of the boats could not sail due to the bad weather, said, “Due to the bad weather, the boats could not sail much, so the price of the boats increased when they arrived. Anchovy rose to 50 TL for the first time today,” he said.
Stating that the price of anchovy was 50 TL at the beginning of the season, Çoğalmış announced that as of today, they have experienced the most expensive period of the last months.
