The collection reservoir “Çepni”, which will connect the Black Sea natural gas to the main pipeline, was launched.
It was stated that the 280-ton gas collection and distribution chamber “Çepni”, which was brought to the port by ship, was taken to the Sakarya Gas Field, 170 kilometers offshore, after preparations on land. Giant equipment, approximately 5.5 meters high, 8.5 meters wide and 18.2 meters long It was reported that with the help of underwater robots, it was placed on the sea floor in about 23 hours.
In the statement, the following was noted: “The works of the Turkish Petroleum Corporation (TPAO) teams continue with great sacrifice both at sea and on land. The Sakarya Gas Field Project, where nearly 10 thousand people sweat, is approaching the end. The months of March, when the gas will be connected to the national system, are numbered. At the end of November, the biggest equipment under the sea, the gas collection and distribution reservoir called ‘Peçenek’ by TPAO, was launched.
