The amount of cow’s milk collected by commercial dairy operators across Turkey decreased by 5.1 percent on a monthly basis in November to 718 thousand 166 tons. Compared to the same month of the previous year, the decrease was 6.1 percent.

Turkish Statistical Institute announced the data on milk and dairy products production for the month of November. Accordingly, the amount of cow’s milk collected by commercial dairy enterprises, which was 757 thousand 79 tons in the previous month, decreased by 5.1 percent in November to 718 thousand 166 tons. The amount of cow’s milk collected by commercial dairy enterprises decreased by 6.1 percent in November compared to the same month of the previous year. The amount in question decreased by 3.2 percent in the 11 months of the year compared to the January-November period of the previous year and decreased to 8 million 955 thousand 418 tons. Compared to the same month of the previous year, in November, butter production decreased by 18.5 percent, ayran production by 8.8 percent, drinking milk production by 7.4 percent, cow cheese production by 5.1 percent and yoghurt production by 3.1 percent. In the January-November period of last year, compared to the same period of 2021, butter production increased by 16.1 percent, ayran production by 7.2 percent, yogurt production by 3.4 percent, cow cheese production by 4.8 percent and drinking milk production by 2%. 4 dropped.
