The bill containing regulations regarding the Organized Industrial Zone (OIZ) and the energy field was presented in the Turkish Grand National Assembly. According to the law proposal with 24 articles, the private sector will be able to sell and export the gas it buys to the domestic market.
The rule is changing in natural gas import and export.
The Bill of Law on the Amendment of the Organized Industrial Zones Law and Some Laws, signed by the AK Party deputies, was submitted to the Presidency of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey.
With the law proposal submitted to the Presidency of the Parliament with 24 articles, the article stating that the private sector cannot make new agreements with the countries that Turkey has gas import agreements with is removed.
PRIVATE SECTOR CAN MAKE A DEAL
Although there is a long-term agreement between countries, the private sector will be able to make an agreement, sell the gas it buys to the domestic market and export it.
Permission authority on this subject was given to the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources by EMRA. In addition, OIZs will be defined as Green OIZs and they will be certified by TSE.
