According to the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) Food Price Index, it increased by 1.3 percent to reach 123.9 points in July compared to the previous month, while it declined by 11.8 percent compared to the same period last year. According to the data from Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK), food prices in Turkey increased by 61 percent on an annual basis.
