As expected, the US Federal Reserve (Fed), European Central Bank (ECB) and Bank of England (BOE) increased interest rates by 50 basis points. Foreign markets fluctuated with the decision taken. In the statements made, it was emphasized that interest rates should remain at high levels until a convincing decrease in inflation is observed. While the recession expectations revived with the attitude of the central banks, the risk appetite in the markets decreased.
