Total sales in the European Union automobile market increased by 16.3% in November and reached 713 thousand.
The European Automobile Manufacturers Association (ACEA) has announced new automobile registration data for the European Union (EU) countries for November. Accordingly, new automobile sales, which were 713 thousand 273 in November last year, increased by 16.3 percent in the same period of 2022 and reached 829 thousand 527. Compared to the same period of the previous year, automobile sales among EU countries increased by 31.4 percent in Germany, 14.7 percent in Italy, 10.3 percent in Spain and 9.8 percent in France. Among the 27 EU member states, Germany had the highest number of new cars in November. During this period, 260 thousand 512 new cars were registered in Germany, 133 thousand 960 in France, 119 thousand 853 in Italy and 73 thousand 221 in Spain.

According to the manufacturers, VW Group sold the most new cars in the EU in November with 208,177. Stellantis Group followed VW Group in new vehicle sales in EU. Stellantis Group, which includes brands such as Peugeot, Fiat, Citroen and Opel, sold a total of 149 thousand 979 cars. Renault Group ranked third with 88,178 new cars, while Hyundai Group ranked fourth with 68,12 vehicles.
